Pencil Stub Recycler

In three easy steps this ingenious sharpener will turn your stumps into a whole new pencil. 

First you make a hole in the end of one. And then you sharpen the other to fit. Finally you slot them together, and add a spot of wood glue if required. 

We have tried this several times & it works. It fits a standard graphite pencil. It will not work with coloured pencils due to the soft nature of their core.
